It was an ecstatic atmosphere at the Akontombra SHS park as Teachers, students , artisan groups and the General public joined in the celebration of the 65th Independence Day anniversary.

This years event themed “working together, bouncing back better” saw in attendance the Hon. DCE, Hon. Yawson Amoah, the District Police Commander, DSP Joseph Okrah, Assembly members, Traditionally authority , Clergy, Political Party reps, Heads of Departments and staff.

The Hon. DCE in his address reiterated Government’s vision of a “Ghana beyond Aid” and called on the citizenry to be committed in support towards the realization of the dream”

However, awards were given to schools who did well during the march pass as well as students who performed in the 2020 academic year.
