The Honorable Member of Parliament for the Sefwi Akontombra District Aassembly, Alex D. Tetteh on Monday, 22nd February,2021 commissioned a 2 Unit Kindergarten Block at Ackaakrom in the Nsawora Area Council of the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly.

The 2 Unit Classroom Block with a kitchen, store room, and toilet facilities was an initiative by the Member of parliament to aid the transformation of education in the area and surrounding communities.

The project which was estimated at GHS 300,000.00 aimed at creating a conducive teaching and learning environment for both Teachers and students alike in the community.

Speaking at the ceremony to commission the school at Ackaakrom, Mr. Alex Tetteh expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people for the opportunity afforded him to serve and for their unflinching support throughout his course in contributing towards the development of the District. According to him, the facility adds to the numerous social interventions embarked upon by the New Patriotic Party in the District.


The Hon. Member of parliament appealed to the Chiefs and community members to all strive hard to maintain the facility for the benefits of the students and the community as a whole.

The Hon. District Chief Executive, Mr. Yawson Amoah who accompanied the Member of Parliament, in his address reiterated the District Assembly’s commitment in the development of education in the District. He advised parents to capitalize on the opportunity by enrolling their children in school to compliment governments numerous effort in the education sector.

The Chief of Ackaakrom (longest reigning King in the District), Nana Asante Krobea, speaking for and on behalf of the people thanked the Member of parliament for the facility in the area. He said the facility would help improve the learning foundation of children in the community and pledged to ensure the facility is well maintained.
