Hon. Yawson Amoah

District Chief Executive, Sefwi Akontombra District

Mr. Yawson Amoah is currently the District Chief Executive of the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly. He is an accomplished leader, entrepreneur and mentor who gains employee confidence even in the remote locations across the country while utilizing resources available and knowledge to optimum advantage. DCE Amoah Yawson has maintained excellent rapport with Senior management team and clients to analyze challenges and develop operational strategies to meet performance goals. He is very passionate about rural developments and youth empowerment.

CAREER PATH

Mr. Yawson until his current appointment had a working experience of eight (8) years both in the Public and private sector comprising, Education, Agriculture and Politics. His contributions in the Agricultural sector specifically cocoa production saw him rise through the ranks to the position of a District Manager at Nhyiradua Company Ltd. He supervised the entire District by promoting quality outcomes and adding value to locally available raw materials.

EDUCATION

Mr. Yawson Amoah is currently a candidate in Masters in Strategic Management and Leadership in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, Ghana. Prior to that, he pursued a course in BA Social Science from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Additionally, he holds a certificate of Honor for performing Metropolitan, Municipal, District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).

INTERIST

Mr. Amoah Yawson is a sports enthusiast and has supported various sporting events including, soccer, volleyball and atheletics. He also likes to read and contribute towards rural development.
