DEPUTY MINISTER FOR MINISTRY OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT, DECENTRALIZATION & RURAL DEVELOPMENT (MLGDRD), HON. AUGUSTINE COLLINS NTIM (MP) VISITS SEFWI AKONTOMBRA!!!

The Deputy Minister of the MLGDRD, Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim, on Tuesday, 18th April 2023, paid a working visit to the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly as part of his monitoring of Government Flagship programs being implemented by District Assemblies in the Western North Region.

Accompanied by officials from the Ministry, the team was greeted with a stakeholder meeting at the Assembly’s Conference Hall. Sectoral presentations were made by the District Directors of Agriculture, Health, and the rep of the Education Directorate.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon. Deputy Minister commended the District Assembly’s hard work in the execution of its mandate and called for more coordination between the Assembly and the decentralized departments in their service delivery. He also encouraged stakeholders to be involved in the decision-making on programs and projects of the Assembly.

Participants included; the Hon. District Chief Executive, Presiding Member, Assemblymember for Akontombra, Traditional leaders of selected Safety Net project communities, Clergy, Political party reps, Heads of Security Agencies, Heads of Departments, and Staff.
