At a brief stakeholders’ meeting held today, 7th June 2023 at the District Assembly Conference Room, management constituted a Taskforce to enforce the payment of water bills by defaulters.
This comes on the back of the challenges the management of the water systems was facing in their services and the consideration of a handing over of the facility to the Community Water and Sanitation Agency.
The Taskforce comprised reps from the Akontombra Area Council, Traditional Authority, Local Council of Churches, DISEC, District Assembly, and Water Board.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon. DCE charged the team to be proactive in their operations to ensure that all debtors settle their bills accordingly.
