In line with the Ghana Education Act, 2008 ( Act 788), the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly on Tuesday, 9th August 2022 inaugurated the District Education Oversight Committee.
At a short ceremony, the 14- member committee was duly sworn into office by the Hon. Presiding Member, Mr. Isaac Entsie.
Speaking on behalf of the DCE, Mr. Richard Dela Darkey ( Ag. District Coordinating Director) charged members to bring their expertise and knowledge in education management to bare to the workings of the committee.
He assured them of management’s commitment to resource the committee to deliver on its mandate.
