At a short ceremony on Monday, 21st February 2022, the new Administrative Complex Block was commissioned by the deputy minister for the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development (MLGDRD), Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim.The 32-room Office space with conference hall and ancillary facilities was funded with the DACF. The event which was chaired by the Chief of Akontombra and Benkumhene of the Wiawso Traditional Council, Nana Kwamena Ebi II saw in attendance, the MP for the Akontombra constituency, Hon. Alex Djournobouah Tetteh, the DCE for Akontombra District Assembly, Hon. Yawson Amoah and MCE for Enchi /Aowin District, Hon. Samuel Adu Gyamfi. Also in attendance were Heads of Departments, Assembly Members, clergy, political party reps, and staff of the Assembly. The event also afforded the deputy minister the opportunity to inspect ongoing projects in the District Capital. He visited the Akontombra District hospital, the court complex, and the bungalow of the Judge.
