SEFWI AKONTOMBRA DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HANDS OVER AN OFFICE SPACE TO THE OFFICE OF THE ADMINISTRATOR OF STOOL LANDS (OASL)

Earlier Today, 28th March 2023, the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly, led by the Deputy Director, Mr. Emmanuel Bienta, and the District Finance Officer, Mr. Daniel Abankwah, handed over the keys to an Office space within the Office of the District Assembly to the representatives of the Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands (OASL), Western North Region.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, Mr. John Kwami Lawi, Acting Zonal Director, expressed gratitude to the District Assembly for the attention and commended management on the investments made with funds generated from the stool lands. He pledged his commitment to work assiduously with the Assembly to increase Internally Generated Funds for the development of the District.

The OASL is mandated to generate income through the collection of dues, royalties, and rents, which include farm rents, leased projects, and mining concessions from stool lands demarcated areas under Article 267(2) of the 1992 Constitution.
