Today, 15th December 2022, the Association of Persons With Disabilities (PWD) in the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly has held its biennial election for new set of representatives. The election took place at the premises of the Christian Praise International Centre, Nsawora.
In attendance were the DCE, Hon Yawson Amoah, DCD, Mr Dela Darkey, Hon Martin Fosu, Assembly Member for Aprutu Bonwire electoral area, Musah Yakubu, Assembly Member for Wuruwuru electoral area, Social Welfare and Community Development Officer (HOD), Ms Charlotte, Mr Graham Aryeh, District Information Officer and other Staff of the Social Welfare and Development Department.
Speaking at the event, the DCE commended the people for their support towards the development agenda of the district Assembly. He encouraged those who were yet to join the Association to do so to enable a collective representation.
He reiterated that the district assembly remains resolute in fixing all humanitarian needs.
