H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo -Addo in his last address to the nation on updates to Ghana’s enhanced response to the COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the recent surge in cases recorded in the country and measures adopted by governments to curb the spread of the disease.

In brief,he indicated the reintroduction of some restrictions on public gatherings such as weddings,funerals and and religious conventions.

As part of measures to strictly enforce the directives, the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly in an Emergency Public Health meeting held with stakeholders on Tuesday, 2nd February ,2021 agreed upon setting up a COVID-19 Taskforce.

The team comprised of Officers from the Police and BNI, Traditional Authorities, NCCE, NADMO, Health Service and District Environmental health.
